Auditions

We both took the first step to working at Disneyland Parks by auditioning for some pretty exciting roles. Unfortunately, neither of us were the right people for the jobs.

I (Laura) went to my audition last Wednesday for Character Host. After weeks of studying up on my character knowledge and what a Character Host actually does, I didn't make it past the first cut. That's alright though. I keep on chuggin'.  I am currently applying for "reservation agent" at the park, if I don't get that, it asks me what my second and third choices are. After putting "entertainment" and then "guest relations", my computer froze...for the second time. Aye Aye Aye.

Cameron had a little bit better luck at his audition. He made it to the second round for "Fantasy Faire Actor." He actually got to sing which is great since he studied up on that so much. He was also able to give them his headshot and resume. Even though he wasn't right for that part, they said they really liked him and want him to come back for something else. There is a light at the end of the tunnel!
We are both anxious to just get out there and get right into it. The move and having our own space is very exciting. I have been getting the itch to decorate and am excited to make a place home.

For those of you who don't know our long term plan, we want to work at Disneyland for a year or two and then transfer somewhere far and do some traveling for a year; possibly Disney Paris or the Cruise Lines! We both want to see the world and Disney gives us a great opportunity to do so. We may not know exactly how to get there at the moment but we do know that we want to follow our dreams and nothing will stop us.
